Important Cheese Update!

We thank you so very much for your help and support. Our team and the goats are now safe thanks to your and others’ generous orders. Everybody on our team can stay employed for now and we don’t have to sell any of our wonderful “ladies”. Getting your and other’s orders on the weekend was a big sigh of relief for us all.

Starting this Monday morning we have to work hard to fulfill all the orders. We need to make and pack a lot of cheese, thousands of truffles and hundreds of soaps. Some merchandise is on backorder, but we already got all the wonderful Lauhala baskets for the ordered gift baskets. Our guess is that we will need most of September to make and ship everything out.

We will donate 10% of all the donations we received to the T S Legacy of Aloha Foundation, a tax-exempt organization which gives grants to the employees who lost everything in the Lahaina fire. T S Restaurants – Hula Grill, Leilani’s, Duke’s – are very good friends and customers. They use our cheese on many different menu items.

We hope they can restart their operations by the end of next month, so that the 800 employees can get paychecks again. Unfortunately, their historic KIMO’S on Front Street was destroyed by the fire and the wonderful team there lost their workplace. If you can find it within your hearts & budget to donate to this very worthy cause you can rest assured that your donation will go to those in great need.

Our efforts in sending out our cheese and truffles are currently being hampered by the extreme weather conditions around the country. We think it is in your best interest to delay sending out the orders with fresh cheese and chocolates by at least one week. Even with ice packs and shipping 2-Day by FedEx, the cheese and chocolates would likely melt. Thank you for your understanding.

We are so lucky to have been spared by the fires and have you as our friend and supporter.
